Who we are

Our Marine Centre is a conservation base situated on the local island Naifaru in Lhaviyani atoll. Run by Naifaru Juvenile and supported and manned by Atoll Volunteers, it is unique in that is the only initiative of its kind in the Maldives to be run from a local island as opposed to a resort.

What we do

Our work focuses on inspiring more sustainable practices while running effective conservation initiatives. Our conservation projects include Sea Turtle rehabilitation and headstarting, Coral Gardening and Coral Reef Monitoring.

What you can do

As a non-profit NGO, we rely entirely on donations and volunteer contributions to fund and sustain our work at the turtle sanctuary.

Adopt a Turtle!

Give a gift to your favourite animal lover and show your support for wildlife conservation. Adopt a sea turtle today and help to protect the future one of the oceans most threatened and magnificent creatures. In your unique adoption pack you will receive a certificate, ID profile and fact sheet, photo and monthly updates on your chosen turtle.

Donate

Donations help to look after the everyday well-being of the turtles'. They allow us to provide the essential food and care needed on a daily basis and also larger-scale expansions at the Marine Centre such as additional tanks, better conditions and space for the turtles as well as help to provide the essential funding for our satellite tagging initiative. We therefore warmly welcome any donations you may feel inclined to give.
