Hope

Hope is a juvenile green sea turtle that is very playful and adored by everyone. She was accepted into our centre after sadly being kept illegally as a pet when she was a hatchling. She has a condition called lordosis (spine curvature) which is suspected to have been caused by malnutrition and mishandling.

Despite being highly agile and a fantastic diver, Hope cannot be released as she is at risk of getting caught in ocean currents and being unable to surface for air. Hope is being regularly monitored at the Marine Centre as we are uncertain of how her condition will change as she gets older.
