About us

Atoll Marine Centre is a locally owned and managed conservation centre based in Naifaru Island in Lhaviyani Atoll. Our aim is to involve the local community in the protection of the marine environment. Our international team of Marine Biologists and Veterinarian facilitate the rescue and rehabilitation of injured sea turtles, with the assistance of local interns. We provide the highest standard of care, with the ultimate goal of returning every turtle to the wild as quickly and safely as possible. Beyond turtle rehabilitation, our work also includes coral restoration, educational outreach, and a variety of community-driven initiatives, all aimed at safeguarding the health and resilience of our marine ecosystems.

TESTIMONIALS

"I'm not entirely sure where to begin, or how much fun and contentment I have found in my time here. These past 3 weeks have genuinely been the best 3 weeks of my life, not only due to the activities and locations but down to the people I've shared this experience with"
