Aaro

Aaro was discovered floating freely around the water villas of Noku Resort in Noonu atoll, by our very own Marine Biologist Molly who is based there. Her discovery was quite unusual, as there was no ghost net in sight, and yet she has lost both of her front flippers, yet her wounds had healed over. We can’t know her story before we met her, but since arriving at AMC she has been the star of the show, and our main goal has been building her appetite and getting a little bit more comfortable around humans.

 

As another double front flipper amputee, she is also displaying buoyancy syndrome, and we are keeping the level in her tank relatively low for the mean time, and we will work on providing some enrichment for her while she is with us.​
