ABOUT US

Atoll Marine Centre is run by locals with the help and support of international staff and volunteers. We focus on running a marine conservation program, community engagement and of course rehabilitating turtles.

Our aim is to involve our local community both on Naifaru Island and in the entire Lhaviyani atoll in the protection of the local environment.

We rescue and rehabilitate turtles at our rescue centre located on Naifaru Island run by our marine biologists and veterinarian. We ensure a high standard of care for the turtles and our aim is to always get them healthy and back into the ocean as soon as possible.

TESTIMONIALS

"I'm not entirely sure where to begin, or how much fun and contentment I have found in my time here. These past 3 weeks have genuinely been the best 3 weeks of my life, not only due to the activities and locations but down to the people I've shared this experience with"
